Our Mission
Wellen Park Athletic Club is committed to promoting youth basketball among girls in Wellen Park, Florida. Our focus is on skill development, teamwork, and fostering a love for the game. We are proud to offer a youth girls winter basketball league that strengthens our community.
What to expect from WPAC
Basketball Philosophy
We want to promote healthy competition while teaching the proper way to play the game. By using Skill Assessment days to ensure all teams are equal, it will promote good competition. Our philosophy will be to teach our kids to play man to man defense only and require playing time minimums that will need to be met each game. This will greatly improve your daughter's skills and confidence to move on to the next level.
To accomplish this we will be holding a mandatory "coach the coaches" session to be taught by area high school coaches. Each WPAC coach will have a League Director to guide them throughout the year, providing coaching advice and practice planning.
